Based in and around North London, SoleStar is a Performing Arts Company, it was created to allow all children and adults, the opportunity to learn from industry professionals.

The company’s unique and diverse approach to modern musical theatre, stems from the tutor’s individual interests in cutting edge performing art styles.

We offer regular classes and workshops, which are inspiring, confidence building, educational and above all 'enjoyable'. Delivering disciplines of Acting, Singing & Dance in a professional environment. Whether performing is a pastime or a career choice, we encourage students to develop at their own pace and we also offer performance opportunities throughout the year.

Louise Blair

Company Director

Louise started her training at The Edinburgh Dance Centre where she completed B.B.O. major examinations in ballet, tap and jazz. She successfully auditioned to train at The Urdang Academy in Covent Garden, where she gained certificates in I.S.T.D. Modern and the National Diploma in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre. She is also qualified to deliver the Sports Leaders UK Award in Dance.

 She has been teaching for over 6 years, creating and directing performances for children and professional adult performers. Louise currently guest teaches in various senior schools, colleges and Universities in London, and for the Rishi Rich Academy at Pineapple Studios. As well as running performing arts outreach projects and workshops for schools and the community, she creates and delivers dance courses for children with special needs.

Alongside teaching she works as a professional dancer and choreographer, for recording artists, events and films. Dance credits include performing with dancers from the English National Ballet, The Scottish Ballet and Pineapple Studios.
Commercial work includes dancing in TV adverts for Trouble TV and Channel 4, trade shows, celebrity parties and charity performances. Modelling for designers Vivienne Westwood and Jimmy Choo, and campaigns for brands such as Kenzo, Diet Coke and Malaysian Airlines.

Tommy Doyle

Tommy started his training at just 6 years old at Chicken Shed Theatre, where he went on to perform as a member of the company, and gained a BTec in Performing Arts with Enfield College.
He has also studied Contemporary Choreography at Middlesex University.

Performing credits include, Touring with Chris Bond in 'Alice on the Underground' playing the White Rabbit, 'Genie' in Aladdin, 'Buttons' in Cinderella, the tile role of the Wizard in 'The King's Wizard' and also appeared in the Royal Variety Performance. He has performed in prestigious venues such as The Opera House, Royal Albert Hall and The London Colosseum.

He has a great creative passion for dance, drama and physical theatre. He has choreographed for Birmingham Rep's 'Don Quote rides again', and has also written original stage productions and short films.

  Glen Fox

Glen started his career at the Chicken Shed Theatre Company where he received a Btec National Diploma in Performing Arts. He then went on to train at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA), gaining a BA honours as a classically trained actor, and certificates in Stage Combat, Fight Choreography and Musical Theatre.
Since his graduation he has been successful in working professionally in the UK, Germany and the State of California, on commercials, short films, theatre and modeling.

His other skills include writing Screen/Stage Plays and Poetry, also writing and performing his own songs.

 

  Lewis Davis

Singer/Songwriter Lewis (aka L.A. Davis- “Best UK Unsigned Pop Act 2010”) trained at Blackpool School of Performing Arts, studying Dance Drama and Singing, moving on to train at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and Chicken Shed Theatre Company.
His theatre credits include appearing in Goosebumps the stage play, Friendly Matches, Cole Porter's Anything Goes, Rent and other theatrical productions including, the tour of Shakespeare for Children.
Lewis had also worked extensively as a presenter for companies such as MTV.

 

  Zoe Morey


Zoe is a graduate Dance student with a classification of 2:1 from Edge Hill University, who continued to study a one year intensive course in Musical Theatre focusing on Dance at Performance Preparation Academy. Zoe’s previous teaching experience includes working with the student associates scheme, devising and teaching workshops in both primary and secondary schools. She has experience in a vast variety of techniques and choreography within Dance with 6 years of training.
 

  Alex Hall

Alex studied music at ACM (The Academy of Contemporary Music) in Guilford. He has worked as a vocal coach and backing vocalist for various pop and R&B artists. He has written and produced musicals for children and youth theatre. Alongside writing music, Alex has worked as a singer and performer in musicals and theatre productions.
 

Helen Sacala

Helen has been involved in Performing Arts since the age of 4, attending weekly classes and workshops. After completing A levels in Drama and Theatre Studies, she trained at Chicken Shed Theatre Company. She has performed in numerous Theatre productions, television appearances and singing in cabaret venues across London.
Helen is currently studying for a joint degree in English Literature and Creative Writing.
